Boost and Virgin Mobile release three affordable smartphones (under $230)
Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile are all about three new devices they have just announced. Sprint says “good things come in threes”, and though these phones won’t exactly blow your mind, they will go easy on your bank account. None of them cost over $230. Let’s take a look.
Kyocera Hydro REACH
The least expensive one is the Kyocera Hydro REACH at only $99.99. It sports a 5-inch qHD (960×540) screen, a 1.1GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, a 5 MP rear camera, a 2 MP front shooter and a 2,160 mAh battery.
This is a successor to the Kyocera Hydro Edge. And as it goes with the Hydro series, you can expect it to be water and dust-proof. As Sprint puts it, you can get “wet and wild” with it.
LG Stylo 2
This one goes for $179.99, but the rise in price does mean you get a bit better hardware. The LG Stylo 2 features a Snapdragon 410 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a larger 5.7-inch “HD” screen, a 13 MP rear-facing camera, a 5 MP front camera and a much larger 3,000 mAh battery.
It’s a sleek phone, and it happens to come with a stylus (hence the name). We know many of you are into that!
Samsung Galaxy J7
The Samsung Galaxy J7 is the most expensive of the trio with a $229.99 price tag. Specifications include a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, a 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a 13 MP rear cam, a 5 MP front cam and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Wrapping up
Are any of you thinking of buying one of these? The Kyocera Hydro REACH and Samsung Galaxy J7 become available on April 15th, while LG’s handset will be released later, on May 9th.
