Nokia 7.2, HMD Global's new mid-range powerhouse, is up for pre-order in US
HMD Global unveiled two new mid-rangers during IFA 2019: the Nokia 7.2 and the Nokia 6.2. If you’re looking to buy the Nokia 7.2 — arguably the better device of the two — you can pre-order one now in the United States.
The pretty powerful mid-ranger will only set you back $350, making this a terrific deal if you’re looking for the best phone you can get without spending the money you would on something like a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
Pre-orders will ship out for September 30. On that date, the device will enter its general sale period and you’ll be able to grab one without needing to wait.
If you buy a Nokia 7.2, you’ll be getting one of the best mid-range devices we’ve seen this year. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a 3,500mAh battery, a triple-lens camera setup on the rear (including a main 48MP sensor), USB-C charging, and a headphone jack.

All those specs are enclosed in a very aesthetically-pleasing body which comes in three pretty colors: Cyan Green, Charcoal, and Ice. However, it appears only the Cyan Green colorway will make it to the U.S., unfortunately.
Finally, the Nokia 7.2 comes with Android 9 Pie built on the Android One platform, so that means you’ll be getting fast software updates including an upgrade to Android 10.
Oh, and one more thing: the Nokia 7.2 is GSM-only, which means it won’t work on CDMA carriers such as Verizon and Sprint in the U.S. Instead, it will work just fine on AT&T, T-Mobile, and their subsidiaries and MVNO partners.
