T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert will deliver the CES 2022 keynote
- T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert will deliver the CES keynote speech at the 2022 iteration of the event.
- CES is still scheduled to be an in-person event in January.
- As one would expect, Sievert’s speech should focus on 5G rollouts and T-Mobile’s headway in that space.
The 2020 iteration of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) happened in person in Las Vegas. It was one of the last huge tech events before the COVID-19 pandemic got into full swing. The 2021 version of the event was an all-virtual affair.
However, the 2022 event is still scheduled to happen in-person in Vegas once again. CTA, the company responsible for the CES event, just announced that T-Mobile’s CEO will deliver that year’s CES keynote.

T-Mobile’s CEO is Mike Sievert, who took over the position after John Legere stepped down. Legere oversaw T-Mobile’s ascension from fourth-place underdog to a third-place powerhouse. He also oversaw the company’s acquisition of Sprint. Sievert was acting as COO of T-Mobile during these events.
Unsurprisingly, Sievert’s CES keynote speech will focus heavily on 5G rollouts. All available data shows T-Mobile as the undisputed leader in this regard. If 5G really is the future as we’ve been hearing non-stop for a long time now, T-Mobile will likely ascend even higher up the ladder over the next few years.
CES 2022 will happen from January 5 through January 8, 2022.
