Log in to your account on the website. Click on the gear icon at the top right corner and go to the Security tab. You will not be able to change your password using the app.
Click Update in the Create or update your password section. Confirm your current password and type the new password you want to create. The password should be 8—20 characters long.
How to reset your PayPal password
If you have forgotten your password, go to the PayPal sign-in page and click on Forgot password.
Enter your email address and click Next. You might see an additional security check to confirm your identity using the PayPal app. You can also receive a text or WhatsApp message on your linked phoned number. PayPal will send a security code to your registered email address if the email is the only option.
Type the code you receive and click Continue. You will be able to create a new password.
For security reasons, it’s best to select Log out of all devices once you set up a new password.

To add or change your security questions, click the gear icon at the top right corner to open the Settings page and go to the Security tab. Click Create/Update in the Security questions section.
