Supercell's Clash Royale battles its way to the Google Play Store
Following the huge success of Clash of Clans, game developer Supercell has released a new strategy game to the Google Play Store. It’s called Clash Royale, and it’s a real-time multiplayer game that stars the Royales, many popular characters from Clash of Clans, and more.
The aim of the game is to knock the enemy King and Princesses from their towers on the other side of the field. In doing so, you’ll win trophies and crowns, which will in turn earn you rewards, new cards and upgrades to your existing cards. The game takes place in real time, so you’ll need a steady internet connection to play this title. This keeps it interesting though, as you’ll be able to battle against players from around the world with different strategies and different cards. You can also challenge your Clanmates and friends to private duels if you’re not keen on battling in random battles.
As you move through the game, you’ll be able to upgrade and win new cards to add to your collection. You also have the option to form a Clan with people that you know, which allows you to share cards and build your very own battle community.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise, but Clash Royale features a ton of in-app purchases. Similar to Clash of Clans, you can win upgrades and new cards, but you can also purchase them with real money. It should be easy enough to play through the game without spending your hard-earned dollars, but the option is there if you’d like. Clash Royale is available now for free in the Google Play Store.
