It's official: OPPO's Color OS 13 is launching next week
- OPPO has confirmed the global launch date for Color OS 13.
- The new skin will be based on Android 13.
Hot on the heels of the Oxygen OS 13 launch, OPPO has announced that Color OS 13 will officially debut on August 18.
According to OPPO, Color OS 13 is on Android 13 and will include “underlying safety and privacy features” from Google’s latest platform and aesthetic improvements like Material You design cues. The brand also promises an overall refreshed design for a “concise, comfortable, and smooth” experience that’ll likely share many traits with Oxygen OS.
While OPPO’s remaining quiet on granular details ahead of the announcement, we have a vague idea of which devices could be the first to onboard Color OS 13. The OPPO Find N and Find X5 Pro were parts of the company’s Android 13 beta program, making them prime candidates. Per 91Mobiles‘ sources, the OPPO Reno 8 series may also be in line for the upgrade relatively shortly.
Oppo’s Color OS 13 launch event will kick off on August 18, 2022, at 12:00 PM BST (7:00 AM ET). Expect more details then.
