The Coolpad Legacy brings a tall display and slim bezels to the budget crowd
With flagship smartphones only going up in price in recent years, Coolpad is going the opposite direction with the budget-minded Legacy.
Announced today, the Legacy features a 6.36-inch display with Full HD+ (2,160 x 1,080) resolution. Above the display is a 13MP camera, while the dual camera setup around the back features a 16MP primary camera and 5MP sensor for portrait shots.
Also on the back is a fingerprint sensor, along with a rear design that’s reminiscent of aluminum. There’s even a USB-C port, though we don’t know if the phone also sports a headphone jack.
Under the hood, the Legacy features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, and a huge 4,000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. Impressively, the Legacy runs Android 9 Pie out of the box. There’s no word if the phone will get updated to Android Q.
You can pick up the Legacy starting today in Quicksilver for just $129.99. The phone is available from Metro by T-Mobile, with no mention of availability through other prepaid carriers. We will provide a purchase link once it’s made available.
