CyanogenMod Theme Showcase Android apps

CyanogenMod, one of the most popular custom Android builds, has been around for a few years now, and has even appeared as a default OS on the OnePlus One. Earlier this year, the Cyanogen Theme Showcase hit the Play Store, allowing CM users to find a bevy of beautiful skins for their device of choice. Now Cyanogen Inc, the company founded by Steve Kondik to commercialize CM, is launching a new Themes app specifically for Cyanogen OS, which is the CM implementation running on OnePlus and coming to other devices in the future.

To get Themes of the ground, Cyanogen is now holding a theme design contest for all those interested, with the grand prize being a free phone and some cool swag! The Cyanogen Themes Design Challenge will run from now until December 14th (5pm PST).

The CM team will judge entries based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity and uniqueness of the design
  • Appeal of artistic expression and visual effects
  • Compliance with the design template and inclusion of the required design elements (completeness)

For full details, please hit up the the themes contest page here. Let your design ideas flow!
