Daily Authority: š¤ Before spending, here's how to save big
Published onNovember 23, 2022

š Good day all, and welcome to Wednesdayās edition of the Daily Authority. Itās mid-week and weāre hurtling fast towards the festive season. But first, thereās the small matter of Thanksgiving and the Black Friday weekend to get through.
The price is right, but it can be even better

Youāve probably run across your fair share of money saving tips for this upcoming sales weekend. We understand that this can also get pretty overwhelming. However, the Android Authority team recently weighed in with their holiday shopping tips thatāll help you, because theyāve helped us in the past. Letās get to it.
The holiday shopping madness
- Letās detail a few dates for your diary.
- Black Friday takes place on November 23 this year, with Cyber Monday following on November 28.
- Both are big traditional shopping days in the deal-hunter and tech shoppersā calendars.
- Expect plenty of price drops across multiple tech categories.
- But before you leap head-first into the discount pool, there are ways to get even better deals.
Android Authorityās holiday shopping tips
- The first tip may seem a little counterintuitive, but abandoning your cart could encourage retailers to ārecaptureā your interest by offering you discount codes.
- Simply add a host of items to your cart and leave them there for a few days.
- This doesnāt work for all retailers, though, so your mileage may vary.
- When using the likes of Amazon, you can also add products to your cart and let its built-in algorithm help you find cheaper alternatives through product recommendations.
- Of course, itās always a good idea to watch out for scammers.
- You can use Camel Camel Camel to not only check pricing history but verify potential fakers.
- If these tips arenāt working for you, look beyond the big retailers.
- eBay is also a great place to find new devices sold by individuals not concerned with making massive profits.
- This makes finding new devices, like the Pixel 7 Pro, much cheaper than they would otherwise be from retailers.
- Finally, using your credit card to get cash backs is an alternative way to take advantage of sales.
- Crypto credit cards can also refund you in cryptocurrency, which is great for taking advantage of bullish periods.
Got it, now what?
- Now that you have a game plan, youāll need a field of play.
- For the next few days, weāre rounding up all the best Black Friday deals we can find so you donāt have to look too far.
- You can find even more deals, especially ahead of the festive season, right here.
- We also make a point of rounding up the best products in their respective categories, including smartphones, smartwatches, headphones, tablets, and more.
- And of course, keep an eye out for specific deal hubs on Android Authority throughout the week.

Wednesday Weirdness
I spend far too much time on Reddit during the week, and my colleagues at AA will attest to it being the best social network around. However, there are still some subreddits I never knew existed. Take r/WeirdEggs for example (h/t The Takeout). You wouldnāt think that eggs could be interesting. Of course, eggs benedict rocks. But this subreddit pays homage to the really weird and sometimes strangely modern artsy eggs.
