Deal: Best Buy offers refurbished Pixel 2 XL, Galaxy S9, and more on sale
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Google Pixel 3 XL are great smartphones, but they also cost a pretty penny. That is where refurbished devices come in and end up costing less than their new counterparts. It gets even better when those refurbished devices are on sale, which is what Best Buy is currently offering.
For a limited time, Best Buy offers a select number of refurbished smartphones for even less than they normally go for. Discounts depend on the smartphone you choose, but the choices are not half bad.
Some highlights include the refurbished Pixel 2 XL on Verizon for $600, Galaxy S9 on Verizon for $550, and the Galaxy S9 Plus on Verizon for $650. All three smartphones should work just fine on carriers like T-Mobile, though you may or may not have to do additional tinkering with the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus.
Also keep in mind that the Verizon variant of the Pixel 2 XL has a locked bootloader. The phone should get monthly updates for another two years, though this is bad news for those who like to flash custom ROMs.
Other solid deals include the Xperia XZ1 Compact for $288, Moto G5S Plus for $171, and the LG Q6 for $160. Unfortunately, phones like the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro and Moto E4 are currently sold out as of this writing.
The discounts are only available for another half day or so. All of the refurbished devices are Geek Squad-certified, come with 90-day warranties, and adhere to Best Buy’s return and exchange policies.
