Deal: The Moto G5 Plus is a steal at $169 on Newegg (was $229)

The Moto G5 Plus offers some solid value for money, usually retailing for $229. Now, Newegg is selling the device for $199 until Wednesday, but a coupon code knocks a further $30 off the price.

To take advantage of the deal, you’ll need to add the 2GB/32GB Moto G5 Plus to your shopping cart. You’ll then have to apply the coupon code EMCSPUPX2 before checking out. Do note that Newegg will sign you up for their email newsletter if you opt to use the code.

The sale price and coupon code both expire on Wednesday, May 10, so if you’ve been eyeing the phone, you’ll want to take advantage right now.  

Long endurance on a budget

The Moto G5 Plus has a power-efficient Snapdragon 625 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 3,000mAh battery, and a 5.2-inch full HD screen. In the camera department, you’ve got a 12MP f/1.7 main shooter, and a 5MP selfie snapper.

The device is also available in a 4GB/64GB variant, but the coupon code doesn’t apply to this version.

It’s not surprising to see the phone go on sale (and it’s also on offer at Best Buy for $10 more), as the Moto G6 family was just announced last month. The Moto G6 Plus packs a Snapdragon 630 chipset, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of storage, a 3,200mAh battery, and a 5.9-inch Full HD screen. The device also offers a 12MP and 5MP dual camera setup, compared to the predecessor’s single 12MP snapper.
