Smart glasses are slowly becoming more than just another piece of technology you wear on your face. Meta has already shown that there’s an appetite for them, and other companies are now experimenting with different ways to make smart glasses useful. While some are focused on cameras and AI-powered features, Even Realities is taking a slightly different approach. Its glasses are designed to put useful information right in front of your eyes, while keeping the look and feel of regular eyewear.
The company is now building on that idea with a new Brown 2 color option for its Even G2 smart glasses, along with two accessories designed to make them more practical for everyday use. The new color draws on classic tortoiseshell frames, giving the glasses a more traditional look. And although a new color might not sound like much, Even Realities has put a lot of work into getting the details right.

It has developed a new material that carries the tortoiseshell design throughout the frame. Each pair also goes through a 20-hour process of shaping, pressing, tumbling, and polishing, so the patterns vary slightly from one pair to another. So, even if someone else buys the same Brown 2 glasses, their pair won’t look exactly like yours.
Interestingly, Brown 2 is also the lightest Even G2 so far, though the company hasn’t shared an exact number. It’s available in both Frame A and Frame B styles, and beyond the updated look, you still get the same features that make these smart glasses worth considering.
If you’re unfamiliar, the Even G2 doesn’t have a built-in camera. Instead, it focuses on displaying useful information directly in your field of view. For example, you could check an incoming notification without pulling out your phone during a meeting, read from a teleprompter while giving a presentation, or use live translation when speaking to someone in a different language.

Of course, if you plan to wear smart glasses all day, you’ll probably want to use them outdoors, too. That’s where the company’s new Polarized Sun Clips come in. They attach to the Even G2 and feature Silver-Gray polarized lenses that reduce glare from roads, water, and other reflective surfaces. They also provide 100% UVA and UVB protection, making them useful for a wide range of situations.
And for those moments when you don’t need the glasses at all, Even Realities has introduced the Even G2 Chain. Made from stainless steel with a sandblasted gunmetal finish, it lets you hang the glasses around your neck instead of putting them away every time you take them off.

As for pricing and availability, the Even G2 Brown 2, Polarized Sun Clips, and Even G2 Chain are available worldwide starting today. In the US, the glasses cost $649, while the Polarized Sun Clips and Chain are priced at $149 and $79, respectively.
Admittedly, that’s quite a bit of money, especially when adding both accessories brings the total to $877. But what I find more interesting is how companies are starting to think beyond the technology itself. Smart glasses won’t become an everyday accessory just because they can display notifications or translate conversations. They also need to be comfortable, practical, and something people actually want to wear. And that’s exactly what Even Realities seems to be focusing on with these additions.
