Fairphone shares when Fairbuds 2 US sales are set to begin

Right on schedule, Fairphone formally introduced the Fairbuds 2 yesterday. The earbuds, along with their case, are both smaller and lighter than the inaugural Fairbuds, and offer 50% better battery life. But those upgrades don’t mean forgetting about what makes these earbuds special, and this model breaks down into 7 replaceable parts for long-term maintenance.

Of course, the sound matters, too, and these buds support high-quality LDAC audio at up to 990kbps. There’s a six-microphone array to support active noise cancelation, and multipoint support lets you easily stream from whatever source you want.

The Fairbuds 2 are equipped with 11mm drivers, are IP54 rated for reliable outdoor use, and are made with 73% recycled plastics.

Sales have opened in Europe for €119, but we’ve been most curious about what the US debut will look like. We already heard to expect them to sell for $119 over here. Fairphone confirms that figure, while also filling us in with a release date: US sales are getting started on November 2.
