Fossil Gen 5: An oldie but a goodie
The Fossil Gen 5 has officially been outdone by the latest Fossil Gen 6, but it’s still a great money-saving option for users who don’t mind older specs. On this device, you’ll find solid performance and fitness tracking, a speaker module for Google Assistant, NFC for Google Pay, built-in GPS, and an optical heart rate sensor.
However, it, unfortunately, won’t be eligible for a Wear OS 3 update. Additionally, the battery life on the device could be better, but with Fossil’s custom battery modes, it’s not bad. You can often find older-gen Fossil devices on sale, so plan to search out the Gen 5 for under listing price.

With the same specs as Fossil’s Gen 5 above, the Emporio Armani Smartwatch 3 is an undeniably good-looking watch. It’s available in various designs ranging from dressy metallics to the athletic synthetic rubber shown here. It’s also lighter weight than other clunkier fashion devices, making it more functional for everyday use.
Compared to some of the other fashion options in this list, the Emporio retains a bit of the sportier aesthetic of typical smartwatches. It’s less imposing as a fashion statement and more a simple classy sports watch. That being said, it does still carry a heavy price tag.
