Add Android Authority on Google:
TL;DR
  • A new leak suggests the Fitbit Edge could cost €179 (~$200) in the EU and £159 in the UK. The fitness tracker is expected to come in four colors.
  • The Fitbit Edge is said to feature a 17.7g aluminum body, a 1.34-inch AMOLED display, a 5 ATM and IP68 rating, four Pixel-inspired colors, and up to seven-day battery life with a user-replaceable battery.
  • For health tracking, the Fitbit Edge could include GPS, ECG, SpO2, skin temperature, blood pressure trend, and insulin resistance tracking. It could also be paired with Gemini AI coaching and come with Android and iOS support.

Just yesterday, a surprise leak revealed plenty of key details about Google’s upcoming fitness tracker, the Fitbit Edge. This is said to be a screen-equipped fitness tracker that sits between the Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch 5 in Google’s lineup. Now, a new leak is filling in the blanks for Fitbit Edge, sharing more of its specifications and features, colors, and expected price.

According to Dealabs, the Fitbit Edge will come in four colors similar to those of the Pixel Watch 5:

  • Obsidian and Matte Black: Matte Black aluminum case with Volcanic Black sport strap.
  • Olive and Satin Pyrite: Satin Pyrite aluminum case with Olive sport strap.
  • Canyon and Champagne Gold: Champagne Gold aluminum case with Peach Rose sport strap.
  • Fog and Polished Silver: Polished Silver aluminum case with Fog sport strap.

The leak suggests Fitbit Edge will retail in Europe for €179 (~$200) and £159 in the UK. That puts it roughly €20 above the Fitbit Charge 6 and well below the flagship Pixel Watch series, maintaining an accessible price point for fitness-focused users who don’t want or need a full-blown Wear OS smartwatch. The previous leak suggested the Fitbit Edge could land somewhere between $149 to $199.

The Fitbit Edge will reportedly sport a 1.34-inch rectangular AMOLED touchscreen with an Always-on Display mode, housed in an aluminum case with a 5 ATM and IP68 durability rating and a remarkably light weight of just 17.7g. The Edge is also said to come with a user-replaceable battery, boasting up to seven days of life (up to two days with Always-on mode), with a full charge seemingly taking two hours through “USB-C” (though this could be through a puck, as we usually see on fitness trackers).

On the health and fitness tracking side, Google seems to be throwing everything into the band. It could boast built-in GPS, Bluetooth 5.4, an altimeter, ECG capabilities with Afib detection, SpO2 tracking, and skin temperature sensing. Even more intriguing are mentions of trend-tracking metrics for blood pressure and insulin resistance, as well as over 40 exercise modes.

The training experience is said to be powered by Gemini-backed personalized coaching, which could introduce real-time on-wrist feedback, custom fitness regimens, and an “Ask Coach” assistant. Certain advanced health capabilities may still be tied to an optional Google Health Premium subscription.

Interestingly, the Fitbit Edge is said to be compatible with both Android and iOS devices, much like the Fitbit Air.

Google has not yet announced an official launch date or retail availability for the Fitbit Edge. The previous report mentioned that Google could launch the Fitbit Edge this month. Given the depth of this week’s leaks, an official debut should be right around the corner.
