Fitbit brings its smartwatch Fitbit Versa, with female health tracking, to India
In a press event in Mumbai yesterday, Fitbit announced the launch of Fitbit Versa in India.
The company’s lightest smartwatch features a 4-day battery lift and cross-platform compatibility, along with two new marquee features – female health tracking and quick replies. The former allows women to track their menstrual cycles and symptoms while the latter allows Android users to respond to text messages or messages on WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger on the go from the watch itself.
Fitbit Versa is powered by Fitbit OS 2.0 and comes with advanced health and fitness features like personalized workouts with Fitbit Coach, enhanced heart-rate tracking, as well as automatic sleep stages tracking.
Priced at ₹19,999 ($297), Fitbit Versa will be available in three color variants – black with a black aluminum case, grey with a silver aluminum case, and peach with a rose gold aluminum case. There’s also a couple of Fitbit Versa Special Edition variants that are priced at ₹21,999 ($327). Each special edition packs in a special band – Charcoal Woven or Lavender Woven – as well as a regular silicone band.
The Versa will be available starting May 13 across major offline stores like Reliance Digital, Croma, Helios, et al as well as online exclusively on Amazon India.
Fitbit also announced that Fitbit Ace, the company’s first activity tracker for kids, will be launched in India soon, although no pricing details were shared.
