Samsung debuted the Galaxy S24 series with a new set of AI-powered tools to help users easily edit photos, translate and transcribe phone calls, summarize documents, generate images, and more. The Galaxy AI suite has since made its way to more devices, including older flagship models and a few affordable phones. Samsung is now working on adding support for more languages to make the AI features useful for more people.

Samsung says Galaxy AI currently supports 16 languages and a few regional dialects. However, by the end of the year, the company plans to add support for four more languages and two dialects. Support for Turkish, Dutch, Swedish, Romanian, traditional Chinese, and Portuguese (Europe) will start rolling out by the end of this month. The new languages and dialects will be available for download as language packs from the Settings app on supported Galaxy devices.

In addition to these new languages and dialects, Galaxy AI supports Arabic, Chinese (China mainland, Hong Kong), English (Australia, India, United Kingdom, United States), French (Canada, France), German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish (Mexico, Spain, United States), Thai, and Vietnamese.

To download these language packs, head to the General management section in the Settings app on your device and select the Language packs option. On the following page, tap the download button next to the language pack you want to download.
