Samsung Galaxy S21 FE could launch on September 8 (Updated: New information)
- A new rumor suggests that Samsung could launch the Galaxy S21 FE on September 8.
- This would be earlier than the Galaxy S20 FE’s debut but later than the initially rumored launch date.
- However, another tipster has dismissed this leak.
Update: September 1, 2021 (11:31 PM ET): According to information obtained by tipster Jon Prosser at FrontPageTech, the Galaxy S21 FE might not go on sale in September as mention in the leak covered in the original article below. Instead, the phone could hit the market in October. You can read more about this fresh leak here.
Original article: August 30, 2021 (1:30 AM ET): Samsung‘s hotly-anticipated Galaxy S21 FE could land as soon as next week according to info garnered by YouTuber and tipster Mauri QHD.
Per the rumor, the tipped launch date of the Galaxy S21 FE is now Wednesday, September 8. The date reportedly stems from a Samsung employee, but we’d nonetheless caution against circling your calendar in permanent ink just yet.
There is, however, plenty of evidence to suggest a launch is imminent. The Galaxy S21 FE was recently spotted on the Google Play Console and the Bluetooth SIG websites. The phone was also spied passing through the FCC in late June. It’s also worth noting that Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE in mid-September last year, adding some support to a launch date next month.
When the phone eventually lands, there’s no telling if you’ll be able to get your hands on one. We’ve seen reports suggesting limited rollouts across the US and Europe only, a symptom of the ongoing global chip shortage. Regions that do receive the Galaxy S21 FE could be in for a sizeable price cut over its predecessor, too. Again, we’ll have to wait for the official availability and pricing details.
