  • It will be a gradual rollout and may take up to 15 days for visibility.

Having trouble getting Gemini Notebook to produce the Slide Decks and Video Overview you have envisioned in your head? Google is rolling out an update that will allow you to have more say in what the AI generates. If you haven’t already seen this functionality, then it will arrive for you soon.

Google recently announced that it will add “co-creation” capabilities to Video Overviews and Slide Decks in Gemini Notebook. At the time, the company said that this functionality would arrive over the upcoming week, but didn’t offer an exact date. According to a new Workspace blog, the rollout started on October 16 for Workspace users and Google is taking a gradual approach to the release. The firm warns that it could take up to 15 days for feature visibility.

As a quick review, these co-creation capabilities include the user in the creative flow. This allows the user to steer the content toward their desired results before the Video Overview or Slide Deck is generated.

For example, Gemini Notebook will suggest relevant focus topics, formats, and visual styles based on your sources. You can also share specific instructions in your prompt. A new review toggle will let you preview the slide deck outline or video producer notes in the Studio panel. If everything looks alright, you’ll be able to hit “Proceed” to get the final product.

The rollout will be available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and those with personal Google accounts.
