Play the role of God in Godus, now available on Google Play
If you’re on the lookout for an Android game where your role is a bit more sovereign than that of a simple builder or architect, you’ll be pleased to know that Godus (a game that actually puts in in the role of God) is no longer exclusively available for PC and iOS, and has officially landed on Google Play.
Fans of the older Black and White game from 2001 (another game where you play the role of God) that long to once again play the role of a heavenly creator will feel right at home in Godus, although there are naturally a lot of differences in the two games. What isn’t different is the God role you play in Godus, as you have to power to sculpt land, control people, be worshiped by followers, create miracles and more.
Godus is a freemium game, meaning you will have chances to speed things up by purchasing certain equipment (yes, even Gods need in app purchasing sometimes) should you feel the need to. The game also requires an internet connection to play:
Disclaimer: My girlfriend has been playing this game non-stop the entire weekend on her Nexus 7, so it seems Godus may be highly addictive. That said, she hasn’t had to use her credit card to purchase anything yet, so it seems that making purchases with real money isn’t necessary to enjoy the game.
You can download Godus for free on Google Play by following the link to the Play Store here.
