Samsung's Good Lock team confirms widget text and volume slider bugs
Oct 14, 2026 — 11:41 AM ET

- Good Lock users are reporting a problem with text size when reducing the size of widgets and icons.
- Samsung states that it is searching for ways to solve the problem.
- The team has also confirmed a bug where different volume levels are displayed on the Quick Settings panel and the volume panel.
One of the nice things about Galaxy phones is how customizable they can be. With the Good Lock app, you can modify almost your entire experience, from adding custom styles and animations to notifications to adjusting the layout and spacing of tiles in Quick Settings. However, as with any software, a bug can ruin the experience. Unfortunately, there are two bugs that are currently annoying Good Lock users.
The first bug is connected to the Good Lock module known as Home Up. If you’re not familiar with Home Up, it allows you to reposition apps anywhere on the screen, resize widgets, and more. The problem in question deals with resizing widgets. As one user explains, when they reduce the size of icons and widgets, the text becomes proportional in size. The text can get so small that it becomes illegible.
The second issue is causing a bizarre discrepancy between the volume levels seen on the Quick Settings panel and the volume panel. A user has shared screenshots of their volume panel showing the volume level at 80. However, when they open the Quick Settings panel, the slider shows the level at 81.
A member of the Good Lock support team has responded to both issues. According to the moderator, the development team is currently looking for ways to address the issue of text becoming too small when widgets are reduced in size. Meanwhile, the team has confirmed the volume discrepancy bug and plans to make improvements. However, there doesn’t appear to be a time frame for the fix.
