Get yourself on the public waitlist to try Google Bard
- There is now a Google Bard waitlist for users based in the US and UK.
- Google will grant access to users on a rolling schedule, so the sooner you sign-up, the sooner you’ll get to use it.
- The company will be looking for feedback to make Bard better.
If you hope to give Google’s AI-powered chatbot Bard a shot, your opportunity is coming up fast. Google is still keeping Bard close to the chest, but there’s been a slight crack in the armor today.
Starting now, folks who live in the United States and the United Kingdom can join a Google Bard waitlist. Joining the waitlist will put you on the schedule to gain access to Bard at some point soon. Google will grant access on a rolling schedule, so the sooner you sign up, the sooner you’ll gain access.
Obviously, Google is taking a “slow and steady” approach to Bard’s rollout. The AI-powered chatbot — not unlike the popular ChatGPT bot that is already available — could be a pivotal product for the company. ChatGPT can, in many ways, fully replace Google Search if you know how to use it, which puts Google’s revenue-generating golden goose into the first bout of significant danger since it debuted over two decades ago.
In this early access round, Google will seek user feedback on the Bard experience. The company already faced some embarrassment with inaccurate info appearing in an early demo of how Bard works. If Bard is to be a viable competitor to ChatGPT, Google needs to ensure it is better than that product when it comes to accuracy, efficiency, etc. That’s why there’s a Google Bard waitlist and not just a simple global launch all at once.
If you’re ready to give Bard a shot, check out the Bard website for the sign-up form.
