Google Calendar is getting an update that global teams will appreciate

In late August, Google rolled out a much-welcomed feature to the Calendar app. The change gave meeting organizers and their delegates the ability to choose whether or not to receive RSVP emails and automatic responses. This month, Calendar is getting another update that should prove convenient for team members in other time zones.

While converting time zones isn’t the hardest thing in the world to do, it is inconvenient. Especially so if your meetings are frequently set to a time zone other than yours. Fortunately, Google is addressing this problem by allowing more time zones to be displayed on Calendar.

You’ll now be able to configure Calendar to display up to three time zones at the same time. Previously, the app only allowed the user to select a primary and a secondary time zone. On the main Calendar grid, you’ll see your three chosen time zones side-by-side on the left of the grid.

Additionally, this update will let you assign a custom label to different time zones. For example, you could label EST as “NYC” or PST as “LA.” Also, when you create or edit an event in “Find a Time,” Calendar will display three zones.

The rollout of this update is starting today. Google warns that it could take up to 15 days for feature visibility. It will be available to Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
