Google teams up with Marvel for new Playmoji characters, quirky movie trailer
With Avengers: Endgame set to debut in theaters next Friday, April 26, Google announced today that it added five new characters to its Playmoji collection.
The new characters include War Machine, Thor, Black Widow, Rocket, and Captain Marvel. They join the existing Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Nebula, and Okoye Playmoji interactive characters in Playground.
All of the Playmoji react to your facial expressions in real-time. You can take pictures and record videos of the Playmoji on their own or take selfies with them. Google even created the social hashtag #pixelendgame for folks to share how they would assemble their Playmoji.
The new Playmoji are available as part of the Avengers Playmoji pack available in the Google Play Store. Make sure you have the latest versions of Playground and ARCore installed on your device to use the Playmoji pack.
In related news, Google also released a quirky video that features people using a Google Pixel 3 during the events of Avengers: Infinity War. It’s a funny take on those events, but one has to wonder why these folks are so calm while everything around them blows up.
