Here's how much the Google Nest Wifi Pro could cost
- A listing for the unannounced Google Nest Wifi Pro was found on B&H’s website.
- The prematurely released product page was listed as the Google Nest Wifi Pro 6E.
- It’s expected that the Google Nest Wifi Pro will launch at Google’s October 6 event.
A prematurely released product page has revealed the existence of Google’s next Nest Wi-Fi device. The page seemed to confirm that the new Nest device will use Wi-Fi 6E.
Over a month ago, a new Google device was discovered on an FCC listing with the model number “G6ZUC.” According to 9To5Google, the model number happened to be the same model number for an upcoming Nest Wifi successor. Thanks to a leak by retail chain B&H, it appears we now know that the successor may be called “Google Nest Wifi Pro 6E Router.”
Discovered by 9To5Google, it appears that B&H published a product page about the router before the device was ready to be revealed. The product page seemingly confirmed a few details like Wi-Fi 6E capabilities and a price tag of $199. A two and three pack are also available for $299 and $399 respectively.
Additionally, the page also revealed that the router will come in a variety of colors. These colors include Snow (white), Linen (light brown), Fog (light blue), and Lemongrass (light yellow/green).
Judging by the “Pro” name, Google could be following the same naming scheme that it’s using for its Pixel phones and earbuds. This could mean that the Nest Wifi Pro isn’t necessarily meant to be a replacement for the existing Nest Wifi.
B&H told 9To5 Google that the Nest Wifi Pro is a new item that is coming soon. By soon, they could be referring to October 6, which is when Google’s Pixel launch event is scheduled to take place.
Leaks unfortunately happen sometimes and B&H just happened to be the culprit this time. At least the store can take solace in knowing this isn’t the only leak currently circulating in the news.
