Some lucky Pixel 10 Pro users are getting a bonus year of Google AI Pro, here's how

- The promo also appears to be live for some other Pixel 10 Pro owners, suggesting it’s not an isolated offer.
- While some have found the promo in the My Pixel app, others say they found it in the Google One app.
Google bundled the Pixel 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and the 10 Pro Fold with 12 months of Google AI Pro as part of a trial last year. Now with the Pixel 11 series officially here, that one-year promo is on the verge of expiring for many users. However, some have found a way to extend the trial by another year.
A day-one Pixel 10 Pro owner on Reddit claims they redeemed a 12-month free trial of Google AI Pro (5TB) after seeing a promo in the My Pixel app. The user says their original trial had expired and that the new promo was applied to the same account.
It doesn’t appear to be an isolated case either, with the person’s parents (also day-one Pixel 10 Pro owners) supposedly redeeming the additional free trial. We’re also seeing reports from other Pixel 10 Pro users about this trial extension, with one saying they found the offer in the Google One app rather than the My Pixel app.
Another person claims they’re seeing the 12-month Google AI Pro promo on a second Google account, but not the one that claimed the offer last year. It also looks like the second free trial may be limited to specific regions, with the US most likely included.
We’re also seeing one Pixel 10 Pro XL user benefit from this AI Pro extension, though there are no reports from Pixel 10 Pro Fold owners yet. Meanwhile, the standard Pixel 10 or the Pixel 10a are unlikely to receive the same benefit, since they launched with other freebies, per this support page.
Although several people appear to have benefited from this promotion, it’s hard to say whether it’s deliberate or an error. Either way, Pixel 10 Pro owners certainly aren’t complaining about potentially saving $199.99 in subscription fees.
If you’re a Pixel 10 Pro owner and the bundled Google AI Pro plan is about to expire, head over to the My Pixel or Google One app to see whether the promotion is live for you. If this is a glitch, it may not take long to be fixed on the back end. In any case, there’s certainly no harm in trying your luck.
