Google SVP admits to using unreleased phone, could be Google Pixel 3a
We fully expect to see Google release its first mid-range efforts in its Google Pixel line sometime soon. Allegedly, the devices will be sold as the Google Pixel 3a and Google Pixel 3a XL.
The releases of these two new phones could be imminent, as Hiroshi Lockheimer — a senior vice president at Google — claims to be carrying an unreleased phone with him. It’s possible this unnamed device could be one of the Google Pixel 3a phones.
Lockheimer referenced the unreleased phone in a tweet. He claims to have used the phone to snap pictures of Bill Hewlett’s and Dave Packard’s original offices which are preserved in their original 1960s decor. Hewlett and Packard started the Hewlett-Packard Company, better known today as HP.
Check out the tweet below:
I got to see Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard’s office from the 60s yesterday, it was super cool! But…I took pictures with an unreleased phone ??? so I probably shouldn’t share them here. ?The offices looked like this ⬇️ https://t.co/fPE7um3gyv— Hiroshi Lockheimer (@lockheimer) March 30, 2019
The comments underneath the tweet are filled with people speculating that the Pixel 3a is the device Lockheimer is referring to. However, one jokester supposes it might be the OnePlus 7 instead (it is very likely not).
The Google Pixel 3a and Google Pixel 3a XL devices will likely have the same camera system as the one in their more expensive siblings, the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. However, the 3a models will cut some corners to keep the prices down, namely with a plastic-based body, a slower processor, and lower-quality displays.
