Some Google Pixel 4 pre-orders come in cereal box, complete with actual cereal
Earlier today, the official United Kingdom Google Twitter account posted a link to a YouTube video from Oli White. In the video, White opens up a Google Pixel 4 cereal box that contains the phone and some actual Google cereal.
It turns out that 2,000 people who pre-ordered the Pixel 4 in the UK will get the limited edition box. One user on Reddit got it as did another on Twitter.
The box has the normal retail box of the Pixel 4 inside. Next to that is a small bag of cereal complete with marshmallows emblazoned with the Google logo. There is also a card that thanks the user for pre-ordering early and reminds them that they can get a free HP Chromebook 14, which is a UK exclusive.
On the outside of the Google Pixel 4 cereal box, there are images of a very fake-looking cereal that is shaped like small cubes (Pixels, we suppose). The box art advertises new features of the “cereal,” including a “brilliant camera” and “quick gestures.” The box art also promotes that there is “unlimited online storage with Google Photos” included free inside, but that’s not really a perk since literally every phone gets this feature.
There’s no word yet on if Pixel 4 pre-orders in the United States or other areas of the world will see this interesting perk for early adopters. However, it seems as if this is a UK exclusive. Perhaps the US will get a different promotional stunt?
Google Pixel 4 orders are open now with regular sales beginning on October 24.
