Speed Test G: Google Pixel 6 vs Exynos Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (Not bad Google)

The Google Pixel 6 is finally here which means we now have our first look at how the Google Tensor chipset fares. But how does it stack up against Samsung’s flagship Exynos 2100 processor? That’s what this Google Pixel 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra bout in our Speed Test G suite is all about.

As a refresher, the Pixel 6 has the first-ever chipset designed by Google inside. This chipset, known as Tensor, primarily uses Samsung hardware. Google has tweaked the architecture, though, to enhance its capabilities when it comes to machine learning and AI. Meanwhile, the Exynos 2100 is the processor that appears in Sammy’s flagship phones of the year, namely the Samsung Galaxy S21 series.

It shouldn’t be surprising, then, to see our Google Pixel 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra bout ends with Samsung the victor. However Tensor isn’t far behind which means Google’s very first shot at making silicon is a pretty good one.

Generally, this all falls in line with our earlier predictions. Essentially, Tensor is a little less powerful than the Exynos 2100, which itself isn’t as powerful as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. They are all high-end chips that will perform well at daily tasks, but Google isn’t going to usurp Qualcomm any time soon.
