Google Pixel 7 Pro spec sheet leaks: Is it what you expected?

It looks like the Pixel 7 Pro will be an iterative upgrade over last year's Pro phone.

TL;DR
  • A new leak has apparently revealed the key Google Pixel 7 Pro specs.
  • Expect the same screen, battery size, and cameras as the Pixel 6 Pro.

A trusted leaker posted an apparent Pixel 7 spec sheet yesterday, giving us some key details about the upcoming flagship phone. Fortunately, we didn’t have to wait long for the purported Pixel 7 Pro spec sheet, as the same leaker has now shared details.

Yogesh Brar posted a list of apparent Pixel 7 Pro specs on Twitter, and it seems mostly identical to the Pixel 6 Pro save for the previously confirmed Tensor G2 processor.

Expect a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz OLED screen (LTPO), 12GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. However, Brar is also claiming 30W charging speeds much like the Pixel 7. Again, we’re not sure if this is the actual wired charging speed or if this refers to the official charger’s maximum speed. We’re hoping for the former, as the Pixel 6 Pro topped out at 23W.

Google seems to be retaining the same basic camera setup as last year’s Pro model, packing a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 48MP telephoto camera. A previous leak suggested that the 48MP camera could be a Samsung GM1 sensor instead of the Pixel 6 Pro’s Sony IMX586. Otherwise, an 11MP camera is said to be available up-front, in line with the Pixel 6 Pro.

What do you think of the Pixel 7 Pro based on leaked specs?

Brar adds that the Pixel 7 Pro will also offer a Titan security chip, Android 13, and wireless charging. There’s no word on software additions though, but we’re keen to see what Google will bring to the table in terms of AI-powered features.

An earlier leak pointed to the same $899 price tag as last year’s phone, so those on the hunt for a competitively priced premium flagship should keep an eye out for this device.
