We asked, you told us: Google Pixel Buds are a hit compared to the AirPods Pro

I was a true wireless earbuds hater for a long time. I understood the convenience, but they seemed far too easy to lose. Once I bought my first pair, though, I was a believer. Now I don’t go anywhere without my Jaybird Vistas. (Well, I’m mostly at home nowadays, but you get the idea.)

Now that Google seemingly delivered a solid pair of true wireless earbuds, I wanted to gauge your interest on which pair of true wireless earbuds stands out to you. Out of nearly 7,000 total votes, there’s a clear winner amongst Android Authority readers.

Which would you buy: Pixel Buds, Galaxy Buds, or something else?

Out of nearly 7,000 total votes across the website and Twitter, the runaway true wireless pick was the new Google Pixel Buds with 43.57% of the votes. Interestingly, most of those votes came from the website, where the Pixel Buds garnered nearly 60% of the votes on AndroidAuthority.com.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus, with their stellar battery life, came in a distant second place overall with 24.7% of the votes, while the Apple AirPods Pro barely managed to achieve 12% of the votes. And while Google’s and Samsung’s ‘buds were the fan favorite amongst website voters, things were much more evenly matched on our Twitter poll. If we were going by Twitter numbers only, the AirPods Pro would’ve only been about 7% behind the Galaxy Buds.

• Shawn Stuckey: Having both, I sold the Pixel Buds. The Samsung Buds Plus have overall better sound quality, fit, and the battery life by far. It was actually an easy choice.
• deleon808: I’m torn between the long battery life and improved call quality of the Galaxy Buds+ and the integrated Google Assistant and design of the Pixel Buds 2. I use my current buds for commuting more than exercise, but I do workout 3-4 times per week, so I would need to get the pair that handle sweat and movement better (running and weight lifting).

• Mix: Just because the airpods have good integration with iOS, doesn’t mean they can’t be used with windows and Android devices. They work with any Bluetooth device. If you have an iOS device laying around, you can keep them updated, and even enable the “Off” mode when you pinch the stem to allow for full functionality. The only thing I can’t do is summon the assistant with them, but I can just get an app that enables it. The reliability, low latency, and quick charging sell me on airpods. I don’t like any other apple products, the airpods are just really good earbuds.Mostly talking about the airpods pro before, but you can even change the original airpods settings on iOS and they will carry over to Android or other devices.
• jimmy cychowski: I’ve got a few Bluetooth ear buds now with the jabra elite 65t, the original pixel buds, some first generation Samsung buds that come with the galaxy Fold and some from taotronics,and to be honest these little taotronics ear buds for the price you cannot go wrong ,they sound fantastic, and are cheap, we all know that these a disposable rubbish after two years at best if you use them daily, I will not buy these new google buds, each to there own though.👍
• Joshua: I spent $30 on SOUNDPEATS true Wireless earbuds and am very happy with them. I also bought a set of SOUNDPEATS Force HD Bluetooth headphones for $30 and they are my daily use headphones. They have incredible sound and last up to 20 hours on a single charge. I can use them for 6-8 hours a day for three days. There’s no way I’m spending any more than $50, let alone more than $100 on headphones. True Wireless earbuds aren’t quite there yet with the sound and battery life of neckband Bluetooth headphones. I’ve probably spent more than $150 trying out several cheaper brands and I can tell you from experience, the SOUNDPEATS are an incredible experience. Seriously, what do you have to lose? Try them out for yourself.
• DBS: I’d rather buy WIRED headphones. Like the Sony XM3’s or Sony’s upcoming XM4’s.
  Yeah, they can be used wireless but they’re not limited to that (inferior) option.
• Ruben S: I hope people choose what’s best for them, not just go with what others say. I’m personally looking forward to my order for the Pixel Buds to come being that I feel it’ll work best for me.
