The new Pixel Stand delivers 23W of wireless charging for $79
- New Pixel Stand (2nd) gen is coming soon for $79.
- It delivers up to 23W of wireless charging to compatible devices.
Along the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, today Google introduced the new Pixel Stand, the second generation of its wireless charger.
The new Pixel Stand works with Pixel phones and earbuds and many other Qi-compatible devices, though Google’s phones will enjoy both faster charging speeds and a host of exclusive features.

The Pixel Stand (2nd gen) can beam up to 23W of wireless power to compatible Pixel phones. Any other Qi-enabled devices will get up to 15W.
The charging speeds are a big bump compared to the original Pixel Stand, which launched alongside the Pixel 3 series in 2018 and maxed out at 10W.
As we previously commented here, the 23W rating means Google’s new flagship phone will beat the best competitors from Apple and Samsung. Other Android flagship phones, like the OnePlus 9 Pro and its 50W wireless charging capabilities, are still better.
Visually, the second-gen Pixel Stand has received a design refresh and now features a unibody design, as opposed to the two-piece construction of the previous generation.
The Pixel Stand (2nd gen) also features a cooling fan to keep your devices from overheating while power is transferred. Google says it’s “nearly silent,” yet efficient enough to allow users to charge devices while streaming or making video calls.
In terms of exclusive features, Pixel phone owners will be able to monitor their Nest cameras, and interact with Google Assistant visual spotlight, Photo Frame, Sunrise Alarm, and more.
The Pixel Stand (2nd gen) costs $79 and is currently listed as coming soon in the Google Store.
