Google Pixel Watch accessories detailed in new leak

Google is expected to make at least seven types of bands available with the Pixel Watch. According to information sourced by 9to5Google, Google’s first smartwatch will have plenty of style options for buyers.

The Pixel Watch itself will come in a single stainless steel case. The default strap included in the box will be the basic soft silicone band that Google showed off in multiple colors during I/O 2022. The other specialty bands will be sold separately, just like Apple Watch bands.

At the higher end, Google is reportedly working on a Milanese-style band for the Pixel Watch. It’s said to feature a stainless steel mesh with a magnetic clasp. There are no images available for the strap, but it’s reportedly very similar to Apple’s Milanese Loop strap. Of course, the Pixel Watch will have its own proprietary mechanism for swapping bands, as Google shows in the video below.

There’s also a link bracelet strap in the making for the Pixel Watch. It’ll reportedly feature a solid metal design with rectangular links connecting to each other. Depending on the production process, this strap could also be a pricey one.

Next up is two different types of leather bands that would also be on the expensive side. They’ll differ in shade, one being darker and the other being lighter.

The more affordable Pixel Watch strap options will apparently include fabric and stretch bands. The latter will be similar to Apple’s braided Solo Loop band, that’s a single piece. The fabric band is said to be more conventional with a clasp mechanism.

It’s unclear if all these band options are Made by Google accessories. However, the Pixel Watch’s customer connector might limit third-party strap options.
