Use your Google Play balance for Music and Newsstand subscriptions
Something that a number of us have been craving is the ability to use our Google Play balance to pay for Google Play Music All Access and subscriptions through Newsstand. That time has arrived.
With little fanfare, Google has included the two services, including both Newsstand one time payments and subscription services, to the short list of methods one can spend all of their Google Play credits. This is a big deal for those that have been saving up a balance through the Google Opinion Rewards.
The list of items one can spend their Google Play balance may be short, and varies by country, but the addition of Google Play Music All Access sufficiently rounds out the options for movies, TV shows and, of course, music. All of your entertainment needs can now be handled without ever seeing Google on your credit card statement.
Head on over to the Google Play support page to see what services are available in your country.
It sounds to us like the even early adopters of Google Play Music All Access, the ones that got in at just $7.99 per month, will be able to keep their awesome rate, even through the process of cancelling your current service and signing up again with your Google Play balance as payment method.
We feel like we’re a little late finding thins one out, but it is too good not to share. Time to head over to the local shopping center to pick up some Google Play gift cards.
Will you subscribe to Google Play Music All Access now that you can use a new payment method?
