Google rolls out Black Friday Play Store deals: get up to 80% off games, movies and more
Black Friday 2017 is here in just two days time and the deals are already flooding in. Today, Google has launched its Play Store Black Friday sale where you can find steep discounts on games, movies, books, comics, and more.
First up, a selection of “premium” games have seen as much as an 80% discount including survival title Don’t Starve: Pocket Edition, minimalist strategy game Mini Metro, and the arcade runner Chameleon Run (I’m a big fan of the last two titles but I’d say Mini Metro is a steal at $0.99 — it’s lovely). It’s a strong roundup of games in general, though the selection available will differ depending on the market; the same goes for the offers in the sale.
As for movies, select titles have been discounted by as much as 50%, while Google also provides big discounts on TV shows such as Steven Universe and Homeland. Movie rentals are also down to $0.99 — one of Google’s favorite deals — but this may be dependent on whether you’ve rented a movie previously (sometimes Google’s Play Store deals apply to first-time users only).
If it’s E-books you’re into, Google will give you $5 credit on any purchase over $5, and finally, there’s a return of the Google Play Music subscription offer which includes four months free.
You’re likely to find other interesting offers in the depths of Google Play, so head over there now to check out what’s going on, or visit our Black Friday 2017 hub page for all your hardware needs.
