For Stadia Founder’s Edition and Premiere Edition users, Google Stadia release date is set on November 19, 2019, starting at 9AM PST/5PM BST/6PM CET. A number of titles will be immediately available for purchase, including Red Dead Redemption 2, Mortal Kombat 11, and more. Additionally, all Founder’s Edition or Premiere Edition users will instantly gain access to Destiny 2: The Collection as part of their Stadia Pro subscription. These titles will all be available at 4K resolution, 60fps, with 5.1 surround sound.
Google Stadia: When will it be available?
The free version of Stadia is expected to come out in early 2020, but it will be limited to 1080p at 60fps.
Google also release a new video explaining the concept behind Stadia, which still isn’t clear to many people. It lays out the use cases for cloud gaming, as well as the benefits of Stadia Pro.
As for the hardware, it will begin shipping in the same order that the pre-orders were made. If you were one of the first to buy in, you’ll be one of the first to receive your controller and Chromecast Ultra. When it does ship, you’ll receive an email and a code to activate your Stadia account.
Considering the Founder’s Edition sold out in many marketplaces around the world, it may be some time before your devices are shipped. Still, if you want to get in on the action now you can still pre-order the Premiere Edition below, which is identical to the Founder’s Edition, minus the exclusive controller. Instead, it comes with a standard white controller.
