Google Trips is a new smart travel app that will help plan your next vacation
Way back in April 2016, Google began beta testing an app called Google Trips – an all-in-one travel app that organizes your essential information in one place. Now after five months of beta testing, Google Trips is now official.
If you’ve ever planned a vacation or trip of any kind, you’re probably aware that keeping all the details straight can be a little difficult. You’ll probably get a handful of recommendations from friends, look up online reviews, and scour through travel guides to find the best places to go. Trying to squeeze all that information into your trip can be tough, especially when you’re using multiple different services to do so. That’s where Google Trips comes in.
Google Trips will automatically organize your trip for you, based on flight times and other travel info you might have saved in Gmail. Each one of your trips will contain an agenda, suggestions for popular things to do around the area, food and drink suggestions, and more. It’ll also bundle your flight, hotel, rental car and restaurant bookings all in one place instead of making you search for them individually. Plus, the app will notify you when you’re near a popular attraction, as well as ratings and reviews from other travelers in the area.
Perhaps the most convenient part of the app is that you can download your entire trip for offline use. Just tap Download under your trip to save it to your phone. Pretty neat, right? Check out the video below for a better look at the app in action:
