Google and uBreakiFix offer walk-in repairs for Pixel and Pixel XL
Breaking a smartphone screen is never fun, especially if it is an expensive one like the Google Pixel and Pixel XL. And it all turns to hell if you are very dependent on your smartphone. Of course, sending the device to a manufacturer is always an option, but that takes days (if not weeks). Is there a better solution?
Don’t worry about going to shady repair shops, which may not even have the parts you need. Google has partnered with tech repair chain uBreakiFix to offer walk-in repairs on their new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.
Simply waltz into one of the over 240 locations in 187 cities across the USA and Canada to get your phone repaired, possibly the very same day.
“We are pleased to provide Pixel customers with the quality repair service and exceptional customer experience that have come to define our brand. A broken device shouldn’t have to ruin someone’s day.” -CEO and founder Justin Wetherill
Of course, this service won’t be cheap, but it promises quality, expertise and efficiency. Getting your Google Pixel phone screen replaced will cost $129.99, while replacing the Pixel XL display will bring the price up to $149.99. You can also pay $79.99 to repair the charging port or battery on either device.
Who is taking advantage of this service? I am more of an insurance guy, but this could prove useful if you just can’t afford to spend a couple days without a phone.
