New Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery RPG coming to Android in 2018
- Warner Bros. and Jam City are bringing a new Harry Potter game to Android and iOS in 2018
- The game, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, is a narrative-based RPG
- Players will be able to create their own characters, choose their own path, and take classes from famous instructors at Hogwarts
Even though all of the Harry Potter books have been released and all of the movies made, there is still tremendous interest in the Potter universe. Now, Warner Bros. and Jam City are teaming up for a brand new Harry Potter game.
If you’ve ever dreamed of being a student at Hogwarts, you’ll soon get your wish. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a narrative-based role-playing game. It will allow players to choose their path and learn from the famous instructors of Hogwarts. Classes like Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and Dueling Club will be held as player-made characters progress through the years at Hogwarts.
The game will come to the iOS, Android, and Amazon devices from Warner Bros.’ Portkey Games label. You might remember Portkey Games from the recent announcement of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Warner Bros. created Portkey to be its dedicated label for all things from the wizarding world of JK Rowling. There is no firm release date yet, though we should see Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery next year.
Warner Bros. and Jam City are teaming up to create the new Harry Potter mobile game. Jam City is a mobile game studio based in Los Angeles formed in 2010. It has produced popular games like Cookie Jam, Panda Pop, Family Guy: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game, and Marvel Avengers Academy.
Even though there are a ton of Harry Potter games out there, this one is different. With Warner Bros. directly involved and a successful studio like Jam City producing the game, our hopes are incredibly high.
