Harry Potter: Wizards Unite takes a lot of what makes Pokémon Go great and builds on it. One big addition is Professions, which allow you to customize your character’s fighting style and stats as you progress through the game.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Professions
There are three Professions in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite — Auror, Magizoologist, and Professor. You can choose your profession after hitting level six, and each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Auror
Aurors deal the most damage in the game, but they are also the most fragile. Lessons in the Auror tree are focused on dealing damage to foes above all else. They are strong against Dark Forces and weak against Beasts.
Magizoologist
Magizoologists are the tank and healer class in Wizards Unite. Their lessons give huge boosts to Stamina and unlock useful healing spells for Wizarding Challenges. They are strong against Beasts and weak against Curiosities.
Professor
Professors are a hybrid class, dealing decent damage and unlocking supporting spells. Later lessons unlock debilitating spells and buffs that make Wizarding Challenges a breeze. They are strong against Curiosities and weak against Dark Forces.

No matter which Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Profession you choose, teaming up with friends is by far the best way to take down stronger foes in Wizarding Challenges. Make sure your team has a good mix of Professions to cover any potential weaknesses!
Can you change Professions in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite?
Choosing a Profession can seem daunting, but you are able to change to another Profession at any time. You won’t unlearn any lessons you’ve finished for the class you’re switching from, but you will have to farm Scrolls and Spell Books in order to move back down the lesson tree.
How to change Professions in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite:
- Tap the Suitcase.
- Tap Profession.
- Select your new Profession at the top of the screen.
- Tap Switch.
Switching Professions can allow you to fill different roles while attempting Wizarding Challenges with friends, but we recommend that you stick with one for as long as possible. Only switch if your team really needs a certain Profession, and even then try to complete a few lessons before battling.
How to farm Scrolls and Spell Books in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite
In order to complete lessons and progress in your chosen Profession you will need to spend Scrolls and Spell Books. As such, they are fairly hard to come by, but there are a few places you can reliably find them.
It’s worth noting that you cannot currently purchase Scrolls or Spell Books from Diagon Alley. If you want them, you have to earn them! Here’s a quick guide to all the ways you can farm Scrolls and Spell Books in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
How to get Scrolls in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite:
- Complete Traces of any kind.
- Collect rank rewards from the Registry
- Finish daily assignments.
- Complete certain achievements.
- Collect level-up rewards.
How to get Spell Books in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite:
- Complete Wizarding Challenges at Fortresses.
