(Update: now on Amazon) HONOR 5X is coming to the US for $199.99
It’s been rumored for quite some time, and it’s finally official – Huawei has just announced that the HONOR 5X will soon be available for purchase in the United States on Amazon. First announced back in November 2015, the HONOR 5X sports some decent specifications, a premium build and a relatively low price point.
As a quick overview, the HONOR 5X comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage, and microSD expansion up to 128GB. It also comes with a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and a 3000mAh battery that HUAWEI says will get you up to 740 hours of standby time in some cases.
You’ll be able to purchase the HONOR 5X later tonight on Amazon. We’ll be updating this post with pricing information once it’s been announced.
Earlier today at its press event, HUAWEI announced the global launch of the Mate 8, the company’s latest flagship smartphone. Even though the Mate 8 isn’t coming to the U.S. at this time, HUAWEI’s recent announcements signal that the company is serious about expanding to more and more markets around the world. We expect this is just the start for this Chinese smartphone manufacturer, and we can’t wait to see what they’ll be up to next.
Like we said before, the 5X will be available on Amazon a bit later tonight, and we’ll provide a link when it’s available. So tell us, what are your thoughts? Are you planning on picking one up anytime soon? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments!
