honor 8 launch expected to be announced on June 25
A new report out of China suggests the honor 8 will be made official on June 25, with invites going out for a press conference to be held on July 5. The report claims honor 8 availability will commence July 12.
The honor 8 specs currently doing the rounds include HUAWEI’s Kirin 955 chipset and 4 GB of RAM across four different variants. The honor 8 is expected to come with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, dual-camera array on the back, 3,200 mAh battery and USB Type-C.
There will reportedly be two 32 GB variants (one without NFC, priced at ¥1,999 ($305) and one with NFC for ¥2,199 ($335)), as well as a 64 GB version for ¥2,499 ($380) and a 128 GB version for ¥2,799 ($425) that will also up the display resolution to QHD (2,560×1,440).
The honor 8 is reported to use the same dual-camera configuration from the honor V8 with a 8MP front-facing camera and twin 12 MP cameras on the back. The report also claims a new tablet called the honor X3 will be launched alongside the honor 8.
