Why spend £900 on a phone when the HONOR 8X is now in the UK?
- The HONOR 8X is now available in the U.K.
- You can buy the phone from either Clove or HONOR.
- The HONOR 8X was initially unveiled in September.
The HONOR 8X came close to being the perfect marriage of style and substance, we found in our review. U.K. residents can see for themselves if they agree with that assessment, since they can now officially purchase the HONOR 8X.
As of writing, the HONOR 8X is only available through Clove for 225 pounds. Even though the phone features four color options, you can only get it in Blue and Black for the time being. Both color options come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Alternatively, you can pre-order the device from Honor‘s online store. The color options and memory configurations remain the same, though the phone has a slightly higher price of 230 pounds. Because the prices are so similar, it boils down to which retailer you prefer to do business with.
As a recap, the HONOR 8X features a 6.5-inch notched display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2,340 x 1,080 resolution, Kirin 710 chipset, dual 20MP and 2MP rear cameras, a 16MP selfie camera, and a large 3,750mAh battery. There is a second model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, as well as additional Red and Purple color options, but this isn’t available in the market.
Unfortunately, the phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The phone also features a microUSB port instead of the increasingly ubiquitous USB Type-C port, but at least it retains the headphone jack.
