How to delete saved images on your Chromebook

Deleting an image saved on your Chrome OS device isn’t too complicated, but you can’t do it using the Images library folder. The Images folder is just a collection of shortcuts to the saved images, so it’s read-only. Also, remember that on Chrome OS, files deleted from a local folder like Downloads are deleted permanently and can’t be restored since there is no recycle bin or trash folder for locally saved files.

To delete an image saved on a Chromebook, open the Files app by looking for it in search.
