How to update Chrome on your Android device and PC
Chrome is the most popular browser in the world, both on desktops and mobile devices. To keep it running as fast and smooth as possible, it’s always a good idea to have the latest version installed on your device.
If you don’t know exactly how to update Chrome on your PC, Chromebook, or Android mobile device, fear not. That’s what this post is for. We’ll show you exactly how to get the latest version of the browser, step by step.
How to update Chrome on Android
You can update Chrome exactly the same way as you would any other app on your Android device. It’s extremely easy to do and shouldn’t take more than a minute or so. The first thing you have to do is visit the Google Play Store via the app on your Android device. Then just open up the menu and select “My apps & games”, which will show you the list of all the apps that can be updated.
The last step is to scroll down and find Chrome and then just tap on the “Update” button positioned on the right side. The app will be updated and once the process is finished, you’ll get a notification on your device.

Step 1: Visit the Google Play Store via the app on your smartphone
Step 2: Open the side menu by pressing the icon in the top left corner
Step 3: Tap on “My apps & games”
Step 4: Scroll down if needed, find the Chrome app, and tap on “Update”
How to update Chrome on PC
Updating the Chrome browser on your PC is also extremely easy and doesn’t take a lot of time if you know where to look. Just click on the icon (three vertical dots) in the top right corner of the browser, which will show you a bunch of different options. Then just click on “Help” and choose “About Google Chrome”. That will open up a tab where you’ll see whether or not Chrome is up to date.
If it’s not, you’ll see an update button that you should click. Then just wait until the browser gets bumped up to the latest version. Once the update is complete, you have to close and reopen Chrome to complete the process. You can do that by clicking the “Relaunch” button that appears after the browser has been updated.
