HP reveals the DragonFly Pro in Windows and Chromebook flavors

CES 2023 has kicked off and HP has wasted no time in showing off a slew of new products. Among all the items it brought to this year’s show, one of the highlights is the company’s new Dragonfly Pro series.
During CES 2023, HP announced the latest addition to its Dragonfly brand — the Dragonfly Pro. Similar to the rest of its Dragonfly lineup, the Pro is designed to cater to business professionals. However, this model is said to be specifically aimed at freelancers.
The Dragonfly Pro will be available in two models — a Windows model and a Chromebook model.
What to know about the Dragonfly Pro (Windows)
Other than a few different keys on the keyboard and size of the speakers, both laptops have a similar physical build. But it’s the parts and insides where the two really part ways. The Windows variant uses an AMD processor with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It also contains a haptic trackpad, Full HD (1920 x 1200) screen, a 5MP webcam, and audio by Bang & Olufsen. And for battery life, you get up to 16 hours (with video playback).

What to know about the Dragonfly Pro Chromebook
The Chromebook version is said to have the world’s first 8MP user-facing webcam and the brightest display to ever appear in a clamshell Chromebook. HP also claims the laptop is Intel Evo verified for fast performance, connectivity, and charging. And it allows for seamless pairing with the user’s phone.

According to the Palo Alto-based firm, this line is capable of handling heavy workloads and multitasking to help reduce the friction in users’ hybrid lives. Both models will also provide 24/7 concierge support and services, as well as tools like an adaptive battery optimizer and AI noise removal for video chats.
As of this moment, it’s unknown what the price point of these laptops will be. However, HP did reveal that both computers are expected to launch this spring with more details to follow.
