HTC Desire 520 making its way to Cricket for just $99 on September 11
If you’re looking for an inexpensive, 4G LTE-capable Android handset on Cricket Wireless, there may be something new for you starting tomorrow. Cricket has just announced that the HTCDesire 520 will launch tomorrow for just $99.99, which is pretty cheap when taking the specifications into consideration.
The HTCDesire 520 features a 4.5-inch LCD display with 480 x 854 resolution, a quad-core 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor backed by an Adreno 304 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot. There’s also an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and a 2000mAh battery. It runs HTC’s Sense user interface atop Android 5.1 Lollipop, as well.
HTC first announced the Desire 520 back in July, alongside the higher-end Desire 626, Desire 626s and Desire 526. As of right now, the 520 will be a Cricket exclusive. There’s no word regarding the phone’s expanded availability at this time, though we’ll be sure to let you know if that happens.
