HTC is finally rolling out the Android Oreo update to the U11 smartphones in the EMEA region — Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This was brought to our attention by Twitter user @pateldarshan293 (via GSMArena) who shared a screenshot of the system update message, also revealing that upgrade weighs in at 1.31 GB.
The latest version of Google’s OS brings tons of new features to the U11. One of the most interesting is picture-in-picture mode, which allows you to keep watching a video in a small floating window while performing other tasks on your device. Other Oreo features include smart text selection, improved notification settings, and much more.
To check if you’ve already received the update, go to Settings > About > Software updates. If you have, make sure you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network before downloading it to avoid potential charges from your carrier.
