HUAWEI teases "unique" smartphone for IFA 2015
Huawei social media accounts have released a couple of teaser images this morning, pointing to a new handset that will be unveiled at this year’s IFA conference on September 2nd, which takes place in Berlin.
The teasers don’t reveal too much, but the poster released by president of HUAWEI’s consumer business, Zhu Ping, translates to “Unique S”. A separate teaser posted by a marketing manager from HUAWEI Italy reads “A Better S” and the “Mate S”, which seems to point to a new entry in HUAWEI’s Mate series of larger smartphones.
A few days ago, leaked images for a new HUAWEI smartphone hit the internet, which looks very much like a new phone in the Mate series. Perhaps the phone will be named the Mate 7S? There are also mumblings that a Mate 7 Mini and/or Plus are rumored to launch on the same day at IFA.
We don’t have much else to go on at the moment, apart from a few rumored specifications. HUAWEI’s next smartphone may come with a 5.7-inch 1080p display, Kirin 935 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and a 13 megapixel rear camera. An AnTuTu listing also suggests that HUAWEI has a 4.7-inch smartphone with the same specifications in the works too, but we will just have to wait until September for the official word.
Any thoughts on the HUAWEI teasers? What would you like to see from the company at IFA?
