First look at HUAWEI P30 Pro via case leaks shows 4 rear lenses
About a month ago, we saw our first leaked renders of the HUAWEI P30, which surprisingly featured a headphone jack (the HUAWEI P20 and P20 Pro both did not have the port). The leaked P30 renders also suggest the device will have three rear camera lenses, whereas the P20 only had two.
Now, we have our first look at what the P30’s more expensive sibling might be packing, via some case renders which Spigen has listed live on its site as of right now (they might be gone soon). The case renders suggest the HUAWEI P30 Pro will have four rear camera lenses, even more than the three lenses featured on the P20 Pro and the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro launched late last year.
Check out the case render below:
Unfortunately, it’s tough to tell whether the HUAWEI P30 Pro will also feature a headphone jack. The case makes it seem likely that it does not, but without being able to fully see the top or bottom of the device, it’s impossible to say for sure.
It could be possible that HUAWEI will include the headphone jack on the P30 but not on the P30 Pro, which is what it did with the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. However, that would be quite disappointing.
Other than the new lens configuration, there’s not too much that’s surprising about the renders of the HUAWEI P30 Pro. You can see the waterdrop notch at the top, which looks very much like the regular P30 renders. The chin looks fairly small as well.
Spigen also posted a set of renders for the vanilla P30, but there are no surprises there: they look just like the renders we saw in January, although in a different color:
